Just when Loz thought he was in the clear, the big man reaches towards him and damn yanks him down into the dirt. Loz could've potentially teleported out of Reinhardt's grasp but they're fighting for honor right? Honor. Loz might not know what honor is but ever since he took off his gauntlet, he vowed silently not to use his extraordinary abilities here. Beside his strength, Loz is fighting with just his wondrous strength alone. Screw all the other stuff! Loz wants to defeat this old knight with just his bare hands and nothing more.

Reinhardt is a tough son of a bitch but Loz is way tougher.

Or rather that's what Loz thinks until he gets slammed head first into the ground. This marks the second head related trauma he's endured so far and finally Loz tastes blood. He must've bit his lip or his nose is leaking, either way, he quickly wipes the blood off him and gets back to the fight. Reinhardt is a monster of a man for Loz to face. His hands are large and meaty with an impressive iron like grip. Loz legit fears the old bastard will crush him but not today.

Loz literally uses his impressive might to try to wrestle Reinhardt into submission. He grabs the man's right arm and tries to twist it behind him while attempting to lock Reinhardt down with his weight. This shit most likely won't work since Loz is improvising at best but give him a "gold star" for effort. Several beads of sweat trickle down Loz's face as he tries to hold Reinhardt down. He's giving his damn all right now.

This boy is indeed a monster. Reinhardt is surprised he could even drag him down to the ground with him. He hasn't had this sort of fight in far too many years. It feels like he's wrestling a Bastion Unit. It's a struggle just to keep Loz down.

There is dust kicked up everywhere from the struggle between them. He's sweating from his effort and he can feel the muscles in his back and knees protesting. He's getting way too old for this sort of thing, but the money is so good. He doesn't even care that the bets around them are getting wild. He's tuned out the crowd. His focus is on the silver haired young man and him alone.

His back twinges more when his arm is starting to twist into an unnatural position. With all his muscle, he's not actually all that flexible so it hurts. A lot. Anymore, and he knows his joints will pop out of place. He can't let that happen. He can't let himself be pinned by this smaller man. Which means, he has one option.

Reinhardt is going to feel this in the morning. Because he's starting to stand, with Loz still on his back. He's strong enough to wear this man like a backpack. A backpack that's trying to pull his arm out of it's socket! But once he stands fully, it's time for him to live to regret his next move. Which is to allow himself to fall, backwards, as if hoping that the young man will be dumb enough to keep hold and be crushed under the weight of his back. If not, Reinhardt knows his body. He's going to have problems getting back up after he falls flat on his back.

[Somewhere under all that childish gruff lurks a possibly intelligent young man. While Loz probably won't reach his true potential until years later, he's certainly on the right track. He needs to stay around those patient enough to watch over him. Loz desperately needs people who can somewhat mentor him lest his reckleness nature will get the better of him.

That's essentially how he operates. He's really like a child in that manner. A big mean child. That's probably why Matt feels so protective.]

So friends are important too? [Loz questions curiously.] I didn't know that. I thought only family mattered.

[Does Loz have any friends? Maybe. He's not sure yet.]

Eh, their names sound kinda boring but if they're important to ya...

[He mumbles as he sheepishly glances away. Good thing Matt is blind or he would have a field day with Loz now.]

Then fine but only if you meet my brothers first.

[Just about. Loz's heart is in the right place under all the bluster and impatience and rudeness, and Matt can tell. He's just lacking in maturity and experience. If Matt thought he was genuinely malicious instead of just thoughtless, he'd be a lot less patient.]

[As for mentoring -- while Matt would not consider himself mentoring material -- he seems to have taken up that mantle regardless. He's got a soft spot for people like Loz]

I don't have a family, so they're the next best thing, for me.

[It's not really common for Matt to admit that (mostly because people already deduced that), but while Loz is sharing.]
